march 8 2007 mark receives top fujifilm award  Mark has just scooped first prize in Fujifilm's prestigious national photographic competition. News of Mark’s triumph will go down well with the subject of his winning image (right) – they collect a cheque for a cool £1,000! Mark was presented with a trophy by Fujifilm's Jerry Deeney (below) after being named the winner of the inaugural Fujifilm Envisage Photography Awards at the recent Focus-on-Imaging trade exhibition, which was held in Birmingham last week.  Mark was understandably delighted with his triumph: “To come first is a real honour. It’s great that the award includes something for my client – I’ll certainly be entering for next year.” The judging team was made up of top professional photographers, Les Pringle, Dave Wall and Steve Howdle. The judges commented: “There was a very high overall standard of both images and print quality and a nice diverse selection; some brave choices in the use of colour and composition.” |
